The Twitter Reply Worth Millions. As Social Media Manager for Coinbase (The Martin Agency), I owned the rapid-response social work stream from ideation to publication. My biggest feat: DeFido Token.

When crypto-enthusiast Elon Musk posted a photo of his newest pet: a Shiba Inu named Floki (inspired by his favorite cryptocurrency, $Shib Coin), we had to act. Within an hour, we replied to Elon’s post with a photo of our own “Coinbase mascot” with a bespoke crypto-inspired name “DeFido”.

This single Reply Tweet went viral and inspired people all over the world to put over $7.2M into not one, but four, cryptocurrencies: DeFido, Baby DeFido, Nano DeFido, Mini DeFido. It also gave rise to a cultural icon, DeFido, whose X fan-made account has 18K+ followers.

Results: Owned: 28K engagements, 466K impressions. Earned: 66.6K mentions, 111M impressions. And millions of people to this day trading their dollars, donning their custom merch, and spreading the DeFido gospel online…
